Boards and Commissions
Brockton’s Promise (www.brocktonspromise.org)
promotes a climate of unity and partnership that shall enlist the motivated, concerned,
and diverse people of Brockton to mobilize support from all sectors of the community
in order to build the character and competence of our young people by fulfilling
the Five Promises.
The Brockton Commission
on Women's Issues was established in 1993 with the purpose of acting as
a central force in the city and the community which would deal with women's issues,
providing information, referral, guidance and coordination.
CareerWorks (www.careerworks.org)
is a non-profit One-Stop Career Center overseen under charter with the Brockton
Area Workforce Investment Board and managed by the University of Massachusetts Donahue
Institute.
